Calm, loyal, obedient, gentle and an affectionate companion, the Slovakian Chuvach is first and foremost a guard dog and efficiently defends his flock from predators. Not a suitable breed for everyone to own, they require consistent training and socialisation from an early age to ensure compliance to their owner's commands.
