Short, glossy and dense hair on the body with shorter, finer hair on the head, ears, front of the legs and feet.

White. Patches of orange or chestnut can be found, as well as possible chestnut speckles, some may also have a face mask.

It is a very social breed and the more time that is spent with it the more it will flourish. The Italian Pointing Dog can be slightly stubborn and requires training from an early age to stop it becoming overly sensitive as it gets older.
