Highly intelligent and eager to please, the Leonberger responds well to training. Self assured and playful, he is distinguished by his friendliness and love for his family, especially children, making the perfect addition to the family home.

The Leonberger is agreeable, friendly, intelligent, obedient and fearless in all situations. He is highly trustworthy and very patient. Although lively and highly energetic, the Leonberger is stable and calm and is insensitive to noise. He loves everyone and is very affectionate towards the family, especially children. With an ability to learn quickly, they enjoy working. Positive training and socialisation from an early age is most suitable for best results.
