Its excellent eyesight and hearing means that despite the breed's small stature, it is an excellent watchdog. The Australian Terrier is an affectionate breed that loves to be part of a family environment and will repay the kindness it receives with affection of its own.
Temperament
The Australian Terrier is a tough little dog possessing the bravery of a much larger dog. Affectionate and loyal, the Australian Terrier makes an excellent companion. They can be aloof with strangers and tend to follow their own mind. They need firm training from a young age to ensure they do not become too head strong.
