The quiet nature should not be confused with inactivity as they are very active, playful dogs with lightning quick speed. They are known as the escape artists of dogs and will keep you on your toes, despite their low- key facade.
Temperament
A very clean breed, known to be quiet as they do not bark. They are highly inquisitive, alert and demanding, and make great family pets as long as they are handled from an early age. Very active dogs, they do not like to be kept in small spaces and yearn for the freedom of wide spaces which with the label of 'escape artists', they often find by themselves. They dislike wet weather and water in general. They love to chew things so it is wise to have a suitable chewing item available for them at all times.
