A fine coat with a slight wave, short on the head with slightly longer, heavier coat over the rest of the body with feathering.

White and orange, white and black, white and liver, piebald. White patches, and ticking on side of the muzzle, over the eyes, on the chest and over the base of the tail.

This always-alert breed makes a perfect friend for those that can give it the lifestyle it needs. Happy on any terrain, the agile Brittany is eager to please its master and will more often than not succeed in this quest.
Temperament
A mentally balanced breed of dog, the Brittany thrives on challenges, can be tough to train but, with a consistent trainer, will respond well. An affectionate breed that is easy to care for and always alert. It is essential they are positively socialised from an early age. If treated badly they are likely to take it and retract into themselves. Treated well this dog makes an excellent companion and will be happy in a loving family.

The Brittany is an active dog by nature, loving to hunt and run in the fields. Though they may have an independent streak in them, they remain affectionate and eager to please their families.
