Temperament
An intelligent breed with an intensely loyal streak, one Rough Collie travelled 2,000 miles to find his family after he became lost. They are excellent with children and, though they may display some herding behaviour as puppies, this is something that they grow out of as they mature. They can be stubborn and it is best to train them gently as they will not respond to a firm, abrasive approach.
