Coat

The breed has long but fine hair which can be slightly wavy with a silky gloss. The forepart of the head is not touched and forms a beard and brows; the lower parts of the legs should not be touched either.

Markings

Grey-blue, light coffee brown. Yellow, grey or white markings can be found.

They are brave and obedient creatures helping to make them talented hunters as well as guard and watch dogs. They also make friendly, loving, and well-tempered companions.

Temperament

The Czech Terrier has a balanced outlook and is a pleasant, cheerful companion making it popular with families and people in general. A fairly intelligent breed who is reasonably easy to train. The breed is loyal and can be defensive of its family and property. The Czech Terrier makes a good guard dog for a family home. Because of their wariness of strangers they require early and sufficient socialisation.
