All colours except all white or liver brown. White markings should be visible from all angles and should preferably be in the form of a blaze, full necklace, on legs, feet and tip of the tail. Symmetrical markings are preferred.

Originally bred as a hunting hound, the Drever has great stamina, an exceptional nose and a loud but musical voice. He remains a popular hunter in Norway and Sweden today. Able to hunt in packs or alone, the Drever is versatile with a pleasant and even temperament that makes the breed a sound companion.
Temperament
The Drever is keen and even-tempered; never shy, nervous or aggressive. He is tenacious, alert and courageous on the hunt. He loves to work and has great stamina. Calm and friendly, the Drever also makes a fine companion for a firm and consistent owner.
