Social animals, the French Spaniel is a beautiful breed with a wonderful looking coat. They are talented hunters performing well at hunting and pointing as well as being a fantastic companion for many.
Temperament
An even-tempered, frank, gentle and docile yet enthusiastic hunter who makes an ideal companion both out in the field and in the home with his family. Social with people and very good with children, he is very intelligent and bonds well with his family. While out hunting he excels as a flushing dog and works well in water and on rugged terrain. Firm but gentle training is required for the best results in obedience.

The French Spaniel loves his family and bonds strongly with them; he does not like to be left on his own at home. An enthusiastic hunter, he loves to run free in the countryside when his excellent sense of smell will send him to hunt, point and retrieve.
