Coat

On the back and sides of the body the hair is sleek, firm, smooth and slightly wavy and should be no longer than 3-5 cm and close fitting. On the underside of the neck and on the chest and belly the coat may be longer. There is also a dense undercoat.

Brown, dark roan, pale roan, or mottled. White markings in a variety of shapes and sizes can be found.
