Temperament
The Karst Sheepdog is an extremely reliable breed, both as a sheepdog and as a family companion and guardian. Courageous and vigilant with a moderately sharp temperament, the Karst Sheepdog bonds strongly with its master. A resilient guard dog, it is distrustful of strangers and will not easily accept them. Because of its devotion to its master the Karst Sheepdog makes a pleasant companion, regardless of its strong individuality. Consistent and sensitive training is essential; this breed does not respond well to harsh handling. Socialisation from an early age is best suited to its personality.
