The Large Munsterlander is alert, energetic and lively, yet calm and gentle with children. He is a keen and compliant worker and is easily taught, being dependable as a multipurpose gundog. He tracks, points and retrieves, hunting small or large game and is sometime used in packs. Cheerful, intelligent and obedient, the Large Munsterlander is always willing to please. The Large Munsterlander is loyal, affectionate and trustworthy and a very lovable breed making a wonderful family companion. Firm and consistent training and positive socialisation from an early age is essential.
