Markings
Black, slate black, elephant black, bluish black, variety of greys, dark brown to light blond. Pinkish patches can be seen on all parts of the body.
Lifespan
11-12 years
They are beautiful and agile with an unusual hairless coat. They are energetic, fun loving and happy to be around their family in social situations.
Temperament
The Peruvian Hairless Dog is a very affectionate breed with its family and those that it is familiar with. They have a noble demeanour and make perfect companions for the home. Lively and alert, they make a good guard dog in the presence of strangers. Socialisation from an early age and consistent and sensitive training is essential. They require special daily skin care routine and, due to their lack of hair, they need to be kept out of direct sunlight.
