Coat
Rough hair that is 2-2 1/2 inches all over the body except the head where it is shorter. The undercoat is soft and dense.
Markings
Grey, grey-black, grey-blue, grey-red, light or dark fawn, or a mixture of these shades. White patch on the chest and all over the toes.
Lifespan
13-14 years
They are courageous and affectionate to their owner to whom they form strong bonds. Gentle with children, the breed has made a fantastic companion for many although it is a talented herder as well.

The Picardy Sheepdog is a lively and energetic breed of dog that is very affectionate to its owners to whom they form a strong bond. The Picardy Sheepdog is an excellent family companion and good with children as well as making instinctive guard dogs. They are courageous, quick-witted and love to work, they thrive best living in the countryside with plenty of area to run around. They require consistent and sensitive training in addition to positive socialisation from a young age.
