In the home they are quiet, calm and excellent companions. A gentleman to all and especially to children, the Pointer is a true friend.
Temperament
An affectionate breed, the Pointer is energetic and determined when working but docile in the house, giving a good companion and loyal friend. They do have a tendency to be a bit highly strung and can be wilful. The better pets come from show lines rather than hunting and should be trained from a young age.
