Coat
Medium-length and thick, dense undercoat.
Markings
Head, ears, legs, sternal region and thighs are tan-coloured. The body is black or dark-grey. Tan spots above the eyes, black forms a mantle on the head, white on the chest.

The Polish Hound is very affectionate and loves its family, forming strong bonds with them. The Polish Hound is intelligent and also makes a good watchdog as well as a companion to the individual or the family.

The Polish Hound is an excellent companion and is very affectionate to its family. Essentially a hunting dog of the scent hound type, it has a keen sense of smell and a fabulous voice when out on a trail. Capable of hunting in all types of terrain, in all kinds of weather, it has high levels of endurance. It requires space to exercise and is not suited to city life.
