Posavatz Hounds are a robust yet docile breed, forming strong bonds with their owners. They have a good character with a lively temperament, preferring to be active and especially enjoying being given the opportunity to hunt. Training should be consistent to ensure compliance as they can be very enthusiastic. They have a high, melodic voice and a good sense of smell. Early socialisation is recommended.
