Coat
Puppy coat is dense and wavy. Later, tufts of hair develop into cords, forming a coarse undercoat and a fine undercoat. Cords on the loins, croup and back of the upper thighs are the longest, with the shortest on the head and limbs; cords on the head should cover the facial region.
Markings
Black, fawn, white. Some grey shadings on black coat, black mask and white on the forechest on fawn coat.
Lifespan
Average, 10-12 years
They are a very intelligent breed and, as a result, one of the easiest to train. They have an ability to adapt to most situations and do well in both the home and in a variety of work places.
Temperament
The Puli is a very energetic breed of dog that, due to its herding nature, is also very protective of its family. They are very affectionate with their own family. Some can be wilful and need to be trained from puppyhood to ensure they do not try to become too dominant. Some are bred for sharp temperaments so you should always make sure to check with your breeder.

The Puli is best known for its coat but it is its fantastic working ability and protective nature that have made it so popular with so many people. Their intelligent nature makes them easy to train and, if looked after, they are a very healthy breed.
