He is affectionate towards his family and eager to receive affection in return but is highly suspicious of strangers and should not be trusted around them. With a naturally strong desire to defend, he will protect his territory against all. This breed is respected for its devotion and peaceful demeanour towards its family, though it is not suitable for most to own. Socialisation and consistent training is essential from a young age.
