The gentle formula contains gluten free* sweet potato that provides natural sources of fibre and minerals. To help maintain healthy joints and to support active mobility this diet includes Glucosamine. Moreover, this chicken free recipe only contains fish as a source of animal protein. To further support a healthy digestion, the food is packed with the prebiotics FOS/MOS and beet pulp. In addition, EUKANUBA Grain Free* dry dog food for senior dogs of small & medium breeds, rich in ocean fish provides omega-3 fatty acids from natural sources. Firstly, the Grain Free* dry food Ocean Fish for senior dogs is a chicken free nutrition. On top of that, these recipes only contain Ocean Fish and Salmon as a source of animal protein and thus offer an alternative in terms of protein intolerances as they do not contain poultry, cereals, dairy or beef. Secondly, the Grain Free* recipes are particularly suitable for dogs prone to food intolerances because of the absence of grains. The gentle formulas contain gluten free* sweet potato that provides natural sources of fibre and minerals and therefore a different source of carbohydrates than the EUKANUBA rich in Chicken, which is based on maize, wheat, oats, barley and sorghum.
EUKANUBA Grain Free* dry dog food for senior dogs of small/medium and large breeds is formulated by avoiding specific potential ingredients to reduce the risk of adverse food reactions like allergies. With our Grain Free* nutritional approach and the use of Ocean Fish and Salmon only as an alternative source of animal protein, these recipes help to avoid for example chicken, wheat, dairy and beef that belong to the common allergens of ageing dogs. On top of that: The gentle formulas contain gluten free* sweet potato instead of grains. This alternative source of carbohydrates provides natural sources of fibre and minerals.

Both FOS and MOS are prebiotic dietary fibres. FOS (fructo-oligosaccharides) are prebiotic fibres and can provide nutrition for beneficial intestinal bacteria. MOS (mannan-oligosaccharides) are made from yeast cell walls and the main function is to support the presence of beneficial bacteria and lower the levels of potentially harmful bacteria.
